I created the content for the installation for the VIP section. The brief was to create a series of clips that had visuals matched to the audio, in a modular set up that allowed clips to be mixed and matched creating and original AV set, highlighting the power and flexibility of the Resolume software. To create the clips I started by writing five audio tracks, all at the same BPM that could be split into different parts (Drums, bassline, top end etc). I then created original motion graphics to match each of the track parts, so that they worked as stand alone clips, but could also be layered up. The resulting set of clips allows for a massive number of variations when combined, all with matched audio and visuals. For the first issue, POST Matter, I time remapped a series of videos that became an interactive experience that you could manipulate, moving between live footage and a programmed point cloud created using a hacked X-Box connect. I also built lots of smaller animations including the periodic table, an advert for Gucci and some looping elements for backgrounds. I also edited a video showing off the amazing work for an installation in the Colette store in Paris. I also created the teaser animation for the issue. The concept was based around the cheetah, traveling from the planes of Africa to New York, in a super sharp, smooth motion, to reveal the logo. Working with the epicly talented Ryan Stevenson who illustrated the idea, I then produced an animatic to bring the story board to life...
